Items for our new Afghan neighbors – Abdul’s family of 6 in Alexandria, VA

Welcome to the KindWorks apartment setup signup for a resettling Afghan refugee family of 6: Mom, Dad, 3 Girls (9,7,5 years old) and a 3 year old son in Alexandria, VA. Your contributions will help complete Abdul’s family resettlement! Your willingness to jump in and help is truly special and deeply appreciated by this family.
This will be a drop-off event. Once you signup, you will receive a confirmation email that will share the family’s contact information and address. Please arrange directly to drop off your items almost any time from now through Thursday, March 24th. If you have items to donate but can’t get to Alexandria, VA please contact Carolyn at cjeffersonkindworks@gmail.com and we will try to help with logistics.

**as with all KindWorks projects, when you register you do so with the understanding that volunteering may involve physical activity, the handling of sharp objects and cooking apparatus, the lifting of heavy objects, contact with unidentified and unfamiliar persons, and will require the exercise of reasonable care to avoid injury and/or damage, and you agree to assume any and all risks of personal injury or property damage.
