Help Cook Breakfasts for a Men’s Shelter

Date: July 26, 2019

We’ll be cooking food recovered by Manna Foods, in the Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church’s kitchen.

Together we will turn what would have been food waste into 200 delicious and nutritious brunch entrees for the men at the Montgomery County Coalition For The Homeless’ shelter on Gude Drive in Rockville.

Depending upon what fresh produce and other recovered food is available, we might be making assorted omelette casseroles; cinnamon apple french toast casseroles, roasted vegetables and chicken sausage; breakfast burritos; a fruit salad; maybe even salmon cakes!

For this project, the kitchen is provided, the food is provided, even some new friends to cook with will be provided!  You just commit to coming and helping to cook together!
