SUMMARY:Delivery Driver Signup: Community Snack Drive
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer Delivery Drivers Needed\nKindWorks is partnering with CollegeTracks for a Community Snack Drive to help keep students fueled as they work on college applications\, financial aid forms\, career planning\, and other important postsecondary steps. CollegeTracks supports first-generation\, low-income\, and immigrant MCPS high school students as they navigate the path to and through college. During busy after-school advising sessions\, a simple snack can help students stay in the room\, stay focused\, and keep moving forward. \nWe’re looking for volunteer drivers to help transport donated snacks from Bethesda collection locations to four CollegeTracks partner high schools across Montgomery County. Deliveries will take place during the week of September 28. SUMMARY:Clean Up Along Wisteria Drive
DESCRIPTION:Join forces with other volunteers to clean up Wisteria Drive in Germantown\, one of the area roads KindWorks has “adopted.” We will be picking up litter and recyclables along Wisteria between Germantown Road and Great Seneca Highway.  \n \nSo grab a friend or two and join us to have fun and enjoy the fresh air while helping the environment! We meet in the parking lot in front of the Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union and set out from there. Kindly note that gloves and trash pickers will be available on a limited first come first serve basis\, so please bring your own if you have any.\n \nStudent Service Learning\nStudents can earn SSL hours for participation. \nInclement Weather Policy\nIn the event of severe weather or other unsafe conditions\, including heavy rain\, thunderstorms\, snow\, ice\, extreme heat\, extreme cold\, poor air quality\, or other hazardous conditions\, the event may be canceled. A cancellation decision will be made by 9:00 AM on the day of the event and communicated to registered participants. If the event can be rescheduled\, participants will be notified of the new date.
