KindConversations™ – October 3rd 2024: “Immigrant Experiences – What Makes a Home?”
Thank you for your interest in the Oct 3rd KindConversation on immigration and immigrants in America. We welcome the opportunity to gather in thoughtful conversation with you. Immigration is a topic that contributes mightily to our shared American identity yet opportunities to share time considering how it affects lives are, by contrast, relatively limited. We will gather for about an hour and a half. The conversation will allow us to share stories and experiences. There will be opportunities to ask questions and express feelings. A trained facilitator will help with the flow of conversation and provide rules of engagement.
The overarching goal is to gain more comfort discussing immigration so that future conversations are met with greater skill and confidence.
When you register you will be asked to reply to a few questions about your interest in this topic. You will respond BEFORE your attendance will be confirmed. This is so that we can create a diverse and complementary group of participants.
Thank you,
Julie Garel, KindConversation Project Lead
Deb Lang, KindWorks, Executive Director
