Help create a home for newly resettling Lida and her small family. The family is already settled but they need a few more items to make their house a home. Let’s welcome them to our community by turning their apartment into a warm and welcoming home! Your willingness to jump in and help is truly special and deeply appreciated by this family.
We ask that items are dropped off directly with Lida as soon as possible by contacting her directly by text and arranging to meet her at your convenience. We hope that you can participate and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to meet the people we serve and to welcome them to our community! You can also order things to be sent directly to the her – you will receive his name, contact info and address upon your signing up for things. (If you do that, please do let her know what you are sending, so she can be on the lookout for the package(s).)
Donation Guidelines
Furniture must be in very good condition, with no chips, tears, or stains. Other household goods should be new or very gently used. In addition, all donations must be clean and completely free of pet hair, cobwebs, and cigarette smoke.
Please ONLY bring those items for which you have signed up unless you have been in touch with Mom and received confirmation to bring specific additional items. With 3 family members sharing a one room apartment, Less is More!! We appreciate your generosity and your understanding!
Safety Reminder
As with all KindWorks projects, when you register you do so with the understanding that volunteering may involve physical activity, the handling of sharp objects and cooking apparatus, the lifting of heavy objects, contact with unidentified and unfamiliar persons, and will require the exercise of reasonable care to avoid injury and/or damage, and agree to assume any and all risks of personal injury or property damage.
