Summer Fun Stuff is a community-driven project dedicated to making summer brighter for underserved youth in the greater DC Metro area. Each year, we bring together volunteers and generous donations of new books, art supplies, games, and other enriching activities to create summer fun sacks designed to inspire creativity, learning, and joy for kids in need.
The children we serve—ranging from toddlers to teens—are primarily from immigrant, refugee, and low-income families. With your help, we can provide thoughtful and engaging resources that help make their summer break a time for growth, fun, and hope.

In 2024, KindWorks provided 2,237 Summer Fun Stuff sacks to kids ages 1-18. Additionally, we supplied books to area schools, as well as children served by these local community organizations:
