KindWorks has “adopted” two roads in Montgomery County, pledging to keep clean Sangamore Road in Bethesda (from MacArthur Boulevard up to Massachusetts Avenue) and Wisteria Drive in Germantown (between Germantown Road and Great Seneca Highway). As part of that commitment, we organize periodic weekend volunteer outings to do this environmental cleanup. Join us–and bring your friends, family, and/or friendly dogs!
Volunteers can choose to participate in one of two types of activities:
Filling bags of litter is very satisfying, and so is seeing a tree emerge from the strangling vines! Both types of activities are perfect for kids ages 10 and up as well as for adults.
Register today by following the link on this page to the cleanup date when you want to help. Then get ready to improve the environment and make these neighborhoods flourish. Note: In most instances, we meet at 10 am, set out from there for about two hours, and then reconvene at our meeting spot to show off how much we collected and load up bags to go to the transfer station.
