Kitchen Items for our new Afghan neighbors: Habib’s family of 3 in Alexandria, VA
Date: January 22, 2022
Welcome to a KindWorks Kitchen only setup signup for a newly arrived family from Afghanistan! Dad is a software engineer, with experience working at the Kabul airport, and with him are his wife, and their 8 month old baby boy!
Your contributions will help turn an empty kitchen into exactly what Mom and Dad are hoping for – a space filled with all that they want to be able to cook, and eat and share food, memories and good family times with their 8 month old – and their baby on the way!!
Your willingness to jump in and help is truly special and will be so deeply appreciated by this family.
Let make sure that by next weekend this family has what they need to really feel at home in their new space!
IMPORTANT: Please deliver only those items for which you have signed up UNLESS you have been in touch and received confirmation to bring specific additional items. We so appreciate your generosity and your understanding!!
THE PROCESS FOR DELIVERY: After you signup your items, you will be given the name and contact information for the family so that you can arrange a mutually convenient time to drop off your items. We ask that all items be delivered as soon as is convenient, and certainly by next Saturday, Jan 22nd.
The setup lead for this project is Deb. If you have questions, you can reach Deb by email at deb.lang@DoKindWorks.org or by text at (301) 792-3708.
Many, many thanks! – – KindWorks Home Setups Team
