Many Thanks to Janet McUlsky who reached out after her parents passed away, so that families starting over could have the things that they could no longer use, but that filled their home.
kitchen items, appliances, rugs, lamps....our mighty volunteer team went over and took all that could fit in their cars, and were now busy connecting those treasures with their new families - mostly Afghan families who left all that they had behind and are starting their lives over in our area -
neighbors helping neighbors
now thats how it should work - Kind community

Thank you Janet - we are so very sorry for your loss, but are so happy to help you accomplish what your parents would have loved Image attachmentImage attachment+2Image attachment

Many Thanks to Round House Theater-Bethesda MD for inviting KindWorkers to come and see A Jumping Off Point last week - just opening and available thru May 5th. We love and so appreciate The Round House: always wonderful acting, in thought-provoking plays shown in an intimate and beautiful venue - such a generous community gem (students 13 years through college are free, On The House provides free tickets to non-profits… ). If you haven’t been in a while, go! You’ll be so glad that you did!

Hats off to some incredible middle schoolers who wanted to host an inclusive community service, but reached out to KindWorks after so many other nonprofits required parent participation.

Yesterday these young men:
 * had a fun and fabulous time together while picking up 3 bags filled with trash that left an absolutely gorgeous area surrounding Westland Middle School!!

 * made new friendships and
 * earned SSL hours

Nice going guys - you are an inspiration to us all - keep up the great outreach and community service!!Image attachmentImage attachment+4Image attachment

Why We ‘Do’ KindWorks

“I cannot think of an organization that I trust more with our donations. You all are amazing and I love helping out.”

“For years, KindWorks has been synonymous with supplying creativity, enrichment, and pure summer fun for Identity youth, as you have continued to shower our kids with sports equipment, arts and craft supplies, bubbles, and chalk, as well as supplies to spur writing and reflection—luxuries for our families who are so stretched financially and worried about making ends meet.”

“You made it so easy for me to donate my laptops and tablets!”

“KindWorks makes it easy to make a difference. As a parent, that means so much!”

“It’s so much fun working with all of these people, and when we’re finished, we have colorful, healthy food!”

KindSoup has grown into something so much more valuable to all of us cooks than imagined. So many new hints, recipes, and sisterhood—with the added plus of 10,000 quarts of soup to others!!

“After giving my client a laptop from KindWorks, he texted me: ‘I was able to apply to seven companies as an interpreter and have three pending interviews thanks to the laptop you gave me!'”

I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for your kind assistance in providing a laptop to my client. Your generosity will make an immense difference in her career search path, opening doors that can lead to job opportunities and a more stable life. Your support is not just appreciated; it is a beacon of hope for a brighter future. Both my client and I are profoundly grateful for your contribution.

We stopped downtown and gave a container of soup to Jimmy, a man who regularly asks for help… “I love soup and I was hungry.” My son was at first reluctant to stay and chat and then we discussed our responsibility to show kindness and respect to EVERYONE… will plan to give a container of soup to Jimmy as part of our weekly routine…You help me be a better mom!

Thank you for your incredible generosity. It has made a significant impact on our clients’ lives. We at AsylumWorks greatly appreciate your donation. Your support helps to further our mission by supporting our clients to meet their employment, education, and immigration legal needs and goals. Organizations like KindWorks genuinely make a difference in the world, and we’re incredibly grateful!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the KindWorks team for their dedication, encouragement, and inspiration. The essential items provided have been invaluable and have directly addressed our pressing needs. We truly appreciate your meticulous attention to our specific requirements.

KindConversation definitely opened my eyes into different people’s perspective. I intend to ask people more questions and be curious about their lives.

You have established an incredible operation for the Summer Fun Stuff annual project, Karen, and for such an important purpose. Glad I saw it all in action this year!
